Synopsis: The NIV Once-A-Day Bible: Chronological Edition organizes the New International Version Bible---the world’s most popular modern-English Bible---into 365 daily readings placed in chronological order. This softcover edition includes a daily Scripture reading followed by a short devotional thought written by the staff at the trusted ministry Walk Thru the Bible.

My Review: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a Bible specifically broken into 15 minute daily increments, that puts the Bible into chronological order. Since they are in chronological order, you will find jumping around in this Bible. For instance, day 60 has Psalm 90: 1-17. This is the first time you are introduced to the Book of Psalms. On day 103, there are Psalms 11 and 59. This does make it more difficult to find a specific verse in the Bible, if this is what you want to do, as it doesn't follow the normal format of a Bible. You really need to search the index to find a specific verse, like Romans 12:3.
Before the daily readings start, there is a section which I highly enjoyed, and plan to chew on more, called Getting to Know God. There are some things in there that I question, like "Choosing to receive Jesus is a 'once-for-all' decision". It's not something that the reader can and should skim through.
The reflections that follow each daily reading are a little harder to understand than I expected. I feel like they were more like mini sermons that would get you thinking more about what you just read.
Overall, I'm still choosing which I should read next year, either this one or the NIV Once A Day Bible for Women.
